Sleep, glorious sleep

Posted by D under family

I’ll admit, I’m really worried I’ll jinx it. Which is the main reason why I haven’t mentioned it in the blog so far. Not that I’m superstitious or anything. Just… careful, I guess.

But at some point I guess I’ll have to share the good news:

For more than a week now the girls have been sleeping very well, usually sleeping through the night without waking up!!!

There, I said it. And I hope this doesn’t bring on the night from hell for us…

We’re not sure what triggered the change (after what, 27+ months of waking up several times at night, not that anyone’s counting), but it coincided with them getting new comforters and comforter covers for their bed. When we went to IKEA on New Year’s day we got them very light twin sized comforters and pretty red covers with animals on them. And starting the following night the girls decided that they were over their jetlag and that they could sleep through the night.

Whatever may have triggered it in the end, I’ll take it. This is nice.

Maybe it could be attributed to IKEA! I love my comforter cover from IKEA and I sleep through the night, therefore your girls must sleep through the night because of it, too! Sounds logical, right? (Work with me here)

WOW!!!!! We have an ikea comforter too! I will have to remember that when the girls move to big girl beds! Hoping you didn’t jinx it and that it continues! Cause when you are away a full night sleep will do wonders!!!
